March 31st, 2007 Kinleigh and I got up at 8:30 Saturday morning (Daddy was in Connecticut doing a consulting job) to get ready for the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. Having been to previous neighborhood events I didn't stress too much about getting there right at 10 (nobody seems to show up). So, I get there about 10:15 and they have already done the Easter Egg Hunt. The sweet older man took pity on us and went and got Kinleigh a couple Easter Eggs and toys. What a sweetie! I tried to get her to take a picture with the Easter Bunny, but she was not about to have that. She held onto my leg and would not let go. We still got to enjoy the yummy cookies, cupcakes, and drinks. I wasn't quite as disappointed that I had missed this one b/c I figured I could still catch the big one at the park next weekend (or so I thought it was next weekend). Daniel calls me in the afternoon to see if Julie had gotten a hold of me to go to the Lake Benson Easter Egg Hunt. I MISSED BOTH OF THEM! My poor little girl won't get to do any Easter Egg Hunts this year. We're going to dye Easter Eggs this weekend and hide them for her so she can do an Easter Egg Hunt. What a terrible Mom. I know she doesn't know any different, but I DO.
When we got home from the the Easter Egg Hunt I was letting Kinleigh play outside since it was such a beautiful day. She got into her little battery operated car and not only was actually pushing the pedal down and driving far, but she was STANDING UP and DRIVING! She knew how to push the pedal, but she would just push it and drive a tiny bit and take her foot off the pedal.
You can't tell too well, but she is standing up driving!

If you hop on a plane real quick, Kinleigh can do an Easter egg hunt this Friday at Ellie's b-day party!
Did you hear that Jen and Nanners will be here?
