Last week Ivy and Colleen came up to go with us to the state fair. Mom Erwin and her friend Judy also joined us for the adventure. The girls got to hold baby Turkeys, Chickens, and Ducks. They also got to see lots of fun animals and even some baby pigs (my personal favorite at the fair). We went and saw all the wonderful produce and the record largets pumpkin at the fair- over 1100lbs. Craziness.

Kinleigh holding the Turkey

While checking out the displays we came across the mt olive pickles. Kinleigh loved her giant pickle!

The jinxed slilde. We bought tickets to take the girls down the slide and when we got to the top the floods came. We raced down to take shelter while it rained for the next thirty minutes. We finished our exploring of the fair and wanted to end with the slide. Once again we got to the top and it started to rain again. We went down anyway!

We love PBS!
What a great time at the State Fair!

Looks like so much fun! The pickle picture cracks me up. I wish there was a big fair in Manhattan...I might need to move for that.
