iPod Touch and Big Truck

The Stockings.  Usually we have a Christmas Tree, stocking holders on the fire place, lights, etc... but this year due to moving in right before Christmas we were scrooges.

Santa Gifts.  Levi- a battery operated truck (teddy bear from Aunt Ruth and Uncle Chris)!  Kinleigh- an iPod Touch.  All she wanted for Christmas this year was an iPod Touch, pillow pet (which Levi gave her) and painting supplies.  Levi really wanted an iPod Touch too but I thought two was a bit young.  I think he plays with Kinleigh's more then she does.  Makes him a LOT quieter during church that is for sure.  Kinleigh was obsessed with counting how many presents she had vs. every one else.  Lets say she won by a LONG SHOT.  I think the rest of us had about two and she had around eight.

Waiting to come down stairs and see what Santa brought them.  This was a tradition in my family growing up and it is one of many we have decided to carry on.  Never realized it until my husband pointed it out but my family is all about TRADITIONS!

We were lucky to have the Groll family with us this year (my sister, husband and her three kids).  They stayed with us for just over a week.  Our first house guests.  Thanks to them we were forced to get our house unpacked, furniture purchased, and presentable in a quick time.  Otherwise I'm sure I would still be unpacking, so Thank you!

This years stockings Santa went a bit overboard on candy.  Too bad I'm a mean Mommy and they have actually been able to eat very little of that candy.

Levi just wanted to ride his truck around the house and bang into my walls.  What fun!

My big present from Daniel this year.  A TOTAL WONDERFUL surprise.  Believe it or not they say you can surf at Galveston.  We will have to give it a try.  If not my present next year might just need to be a trip to Hawaii!

We spent the afternoon stuffing our faces once again with appetizers and desserts and just spending time with all the family!  Good thing I'm pregnant and I don't feel quite as bad about putting on five pounds over the holidays. 
It was so nice to be close to family and yet so weird to actually be the ones hosting.  Exciting feeling to go over for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and then head home to our own beds for the night!
