Daniel asked me a little while back "Why would anyone do swim team?" Practice is Tuesday-Thursday from 8:15-9:00 in the morning. The swim meets are every Saturday starting at 7:00AM. Kinleigh will swim a max of three events but has actually only swam two events. Basically we spend our entire Saturday morning until noon, in the heat, to watch Kinleigh swim Freestyle and this past weekend she added Backstroke. After watching her swim lap after lap after lap in my parent's pool, NO FLOATIES, diving to the bottom, and having no fear of the water Daniel answered his own question, "this makes swim team completely worth it!" When she started out her time was I believe 57 seconds for freestyle. The first meet she swam a 45:22, second meet it was 37:24 and this past weekend she swam a 32:30. Not only that but she swam backstroke which was a huge thing for her (she made herself sick two weekends ago just with the idea of swimming backstroke). We are so proud of our big girl!
