Lesson Learned

Kinleigh, on the other hand, really stepped it up this year.  She started in the beginning with a little hit or miss and then towards the end she was in it full swing.  They were drafted this year and her coach from last year said that she was the second pick on her team.  Her team started out the season slow and ended the season with SECOND PLACE in the division.  That last game Kinleigh was a WHOLE NEW GIRL.  She stole the show from all those girls.  However, the poor thing NEVER scored a goal all season.  She prayed EVERY prayer asking Heavenly Father to help her score a goal.  It was a very hard lesson to teach my seven year old.  Especially when she would say, "But Mom, how come Heavenly Father did not answer my prayer."  And it wasn't like she wasn't putting in the effort.  I guess we will say, it was a hard lesson for us ALL to learn.  We went out after the last game to celebrate the season!  What a change those girls made from beginning to end.
