Yes again!

Kinleigh has had a bad rash on her behind and her leg for the past week. We thought it was getting better, but after playing outside on Saturday and scratching the area from the hay ride it started to get worse. Since I had to work Monday Daniel took her in first thing in the morning to the Dr. Fortunately, he was able to get right in and see the Dr. Unfortunately, we had a new crappy Dr. Daniel said he was not impressed with her abilities at all. First, she didn't do any scraping of the rash to see what it could possibly be. All the research I read online said the only way to tell what the rash may be was to have a sample scraped and tested. She said she didn't think it looked like anything contagious and that if it started to itch Kinleigh then we should bring her back in. Ok, we're already here and paying the money so do what you need to do NOW. Anyway, so then she takes a look in Kinleighs ears and says out loud, "that doesn't look good." She takes a look in the other ear and says, "yep it looks the same as the other ear. " So Daniel proceeds to tell her that Kinleigh just had an ear infection less then a month ago and we came back in and it was fine.... Never does the Dr. tell Daniel that Kinleigh actually has another ear infection in both ears. Then, the lady leaves and never comes back. Daniel calls me after he drops Kinleigh off at the babysitters and is telling me the story and realizes he has no idea if Kinleigh is suppose to have medicine or what. He calls the Dr.'s office and asks the nurse what the deal is with Kinleigh. She tells him, "well, yes she does have an ear infection in both ears. The Dr. forgot to write you a prescription and she's been meaning to call you but hasn't gotten around to it." This is the first time that I have not really cared for my Pediatric office. I guess now I realize the benefit of going to an office with just one Dr. who actually pretends to care about your child. So, yes Kinleigh is on antibiotics for an ear infection AGAIN and once again we had no idea she had one. It's great that she doesn't let the pain bother her, but it sure is a pain for us to not know!!!!
