The Strommers

Labor Day weekend we headed up to the DC area to visit the long lost Strommers. Daniel's sister and her husband moved to Korea when Kinleigh was two months old and this is the first time we've seen Ruth and the kids since they moved (almost 4 years ago). Mom Erwin had headed up to Ruth's after visiting us so we were able to spend three more days with her. The main reason for the visit (besides seeing family, of course) was Ruth's oldest Destinee was baptized. When they left she was Kinleigh's age... she looked all grown up and so beautiful in her white dress. For some crazy reason I have no pictures of her in her baptismal dress. The program was just wonderful and Daniel and his Mom gave great talks. We spent the rest of the day exploring Baltimore. Sunday we did a driving tour of Annapolis since they happen to be having a street festival and it was way too crowded. It was sure beautiful and I can't wait to go back one day. We headed back Sunday night to avoid all the crazy traffic on Labor Day. It was SO GOOD to see the Strommers again and thanks to Chris for the most delicious home made meals. Kinleigh sure loves her cousins and had so much fun playing with all of them, especially Destinee!
