Kinleigh participated in the Hope Fun Run this year. Second grade raced a half of a mile. Despite coaching Kinleigh for 20 minutes before the race on how she was suppose to start at the FRONT; she some how managed to start at the VERY BACK. She says that they placed her in that position. Either way she managed to pass the 40+ some other kids and come in SEVENTH place. They had the top eight stand on the field, announced their name and school, and then gave them a medal. She was so proud of herself and even more proud when Monday at school they announced her winning in PE, Tuesday on the loud speaker, and then Friday in the Newsletter that goes home with all the students. Kolby placed 6th in his age group (he too started at the very back) and Olivia placed 6th in her age group. Ellie had more fun waving and smiling at everyone! They all did amazing!

What fun to not only run but have cousins running in their divisions too. Congratulations, Kinleigh!
McKayla prefers to start off slow and in the back and then loves to pass people. Maybe that's Kinleigh's style too.
Your alligator adventure sounds so fun and I love your family dressed as pirates!
Good Job Kinleigh!!!
